Angirus (Previously known as SLICK) is an innovative circular economy startup that makes High-quality, dampproof and lightweight bricks named Wricks, It aims to reduce the brick work cost up to 20%.
Today, the clay brick industry consumes 350 million tons of fertile soil and 25 million metric tons of coal, releases toxic gases and making it highly unsustainable industry. Even the central pollution control board is planning to shut down these brick kilns.
To address the issue with value chain of brick industry, We are developing eco-friendly, lightweight and dampproof bricks, as an alternative for unsustainable clay bricks industry. Wricks weighs 1Kg lesser and has the compressive strength equivalent to Class-A clay bricks. It is being tested with govt. accredited NABL (National accreditation board for testing and calibration laboratory) laboratory on the Indian standard {IS 3495 (Part 1-4) : 1992} tests. Wricks has demonstrated working performance with mortar test and temperature variation through a wall testing made of it. We achieved this using our proprietary composition comprising recycled plastic waste and inert waste (Construction waste, marble slurry, mining stone waste) as well as proprietary technology.
We are a team of civil engineers and shareholder from a real estate background with more than 100 years of accumulative experience. Our objective is to provide a sustainable alternative to Rs. 1800 Crore Indian brick industry, while reducing waste management burden of society.
