In India, every year 20 million trees are cut for conducting cremations only and at this rate, it is predicted that by 2050 we'll have a population of approx 1.3 Billion hindus, and hence we'd not be left with enough trees to support the cremations. As per funeral, 2 adult tree trunks are required, it results into a lot of grand-scale deforestation. Also, farmers face huge problems when it comes to handling agricultural waste (in our case parali) and also gaushalas are unable to efficiently handle the cowdung produced. So to overcome these issues, we have launched our product - an alternative of wood, made by cowdung and agricultural waste which will not require any wood.
One more issue is that of fuel shortage for industry boilers, domestic use, etc., and hence we could switch to our alternative as it has a much higher calorific value and is readily available.
'Gaumaya Samidha' is a unique mixture of cowdung, agricultural waste and some assorted herbs which acts as the immediate alternative for wood, especially as a bio-fuel. it is a viable, economical and eco-friendly. The rate of deforestation will tremendously go down if the entire nation switches to Gaumaya Samidha from wood. Also, because of the high calorific value of Gaumaya Samidha, it takes just the half time for cremating a dead body i.e. it can be done in 3 hours only. The most important feature is that it is highly economical and is supplied at a 30% reduced cost than wood's market cost. It has also been proven that burning Gaumaya Samidha emits low pollution as compared to that of wood. it can be readily used as a Domestic and Industrial fuel as well, it has already been named by many as 'White Coal' as it emits white fumes.
