Zerowa is designed to tackle wet waste problem at its source of generation. Zerowa is a countertop smart home composter bin built for the Indian kitchen. The device converts everyday food waste into usable compost within 24 to 48 hours using a proprietary microbial inoculant, a slow-rotation stirrer motor, IOT sensors and a zeolite odor filter all managed automatically and monitored through a single click on your phone, designed for maximum convenience. It is highly adaptable and built to fit in urban lifestyle. It requires no manual intervention, produces no smell, and fits on any kitchen counter. Zerowa is unique because of its microbial consortium which is not a generic composting inoculant. Consists of strains, each of which was isolated from Indian environments and selected specifically for the chemical challenges of Indian food waste oils, spices, high-salt, high-protein. Together they achieve what no single strain and no existing product can do.
Zerowa also has compost collection system where collected compost is aggregated, quality-tested, and resold to urban gardeners, nurseries, and agricultural buyers, completing a full circular loop from kitchen waste to productive soil input. Its primary customers are urban middle-class households, particularly apartment dwellers without access to community composting, kitchen gardeners, and environmentally conscious families.
